One of the great events of San Francisco is Halloween, and in the Latino community, this season is best exemplified by El dia de los muertos, or Day of the Dead, in which our ancestors are honored and a reminder of our own mortality (a memento mori if you'll pardon the Latin) is made.
In fact, one of our resident Cheap Bastards, evelyn, is creating an altar for display at the Mission Cultural Center for Latino Arts and would appreciate photographs of your parents, grandparents, and other loved ones who have shuffled off this mortal coil.
Contact Evelyn at her CheapBastardsSF contact page to send her your photos!
